Miami Swim Week 2024 promised to amaze, and one of the most dazzling events took place at a Lavish warehouse in North Miami Beach. This unique party, featuring a mind-blowing black light show, was the perfect setting for journalist Sorvina Yulia to meet with Laura Sylvia, the stunning model and Miami resident who founded the brand Lavish By LauLau.
From the moment Yulia stepped into the mysterious venue, she was engulfed in a sense of anticipation and curiosity. The invitation came from her best friend, a model participating in the show. The dark yet glowing venue, full of guests and music, created an air of suspense for the runway show to take place. But soon, the space came alive: popular tracks from Dreko R, DJ The UNXPCTD, and DJ STWOT started playing, while the creative lighting effects – black lights, lasers, and projections – bathed the room, adding a magical touch. Models in glowing swimsuits amplified the effect, creating an unforgettable spectacle for the fashion show’s theme, “Be the Glow You Wish to See in the World.”
Yulia wasted no time and asked Laura what inspired her to create such a project. Laura smiled and said, “I always want to bring creative and impressive people together in one place in order to showcase the cohesive beauty of all their talents to our Lavish network, in addition to supporting charities that are close to our hearts like Shak’s Hope for sickle cell awareness. To be a part of our events, all it takes is the will to be the best and the recognition that you are a part of something bigger than yourself, a team. That’s what makes a Lavish event, Lavish.”

Yulia then asked, “What advice would you give to aspiring models looking to get into such unique events?” Laura answered enthusiastically, “Have a great attitude, be grateful for every opportunity, show up.. on time, and be out in the scene – you can’t get anywhere from the seat of your couch. The private fashion show after party in the Sound Mecca proved that Miami continues to surprise and inspire through Lavish by LauLau.
